Hope- The Lady Cats hosted Arkadelphia on Tuesday night, in Hope's last home conference game of the season. Payton Rhodes got the nod to start the game in the pitchers' circle and Rhodes did a great job, as she scattered 6 hits and struck out 5 batters. Aside from the 3rd inning, Rhodes kept the Lady Badgers off the board. The Lady Cat offense showed up on Tuesday, as they banged out 11 hits and drew 4 walks. Payton Rhodes led the way for Hope at the plate with a 3-hit night and 4 RBI. Bella Elliott had a 2-hit night with 3 RBI. Ava Brown had 2 hits and an RBI and Yoshigei Gonzalez had 2 hits for Hope. Tanasia Young smashed a 2-run double and Makenzie Cox had a single and an RBI for the Lady Cats. Grace Trauger was a ball magnet as she was hit by the pitch in her first 3 plate appearances. The Lady Cat defense also did a great job on Tuesday night, as they had 13 put-outs and only committed 1 error as a team.
The Lady Cats are back in action on Thursday night as they host Garrett Memorial.
