The second-half witnessed a running clock and the Lady Dragons cruised to a 54-20 victory. After the game Coach Austin Kidd had this to say about his teams effort Tuesday night, "We've been in a tough stretch, it was great to see them come out and play some tough defense, we shared the ball well and we need that heading into a big game against Prescott on Thursday."
Brenley Ward led the way with 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Rylee Fike poured in 9 points and Ali Pierce and Kenzie Owen each added 6. Jessyca Thompson scored 5 points, Brooklyn Cox and Raelyn Douglas each chipped in 4 points. Kelsie Fowler, Ashlyn Cross, and Baylee Nowlin each scored for the Lady Dragons as well.
The defense and ball pressure from Genoa was perhaps the best its been all year long, as they forced numerous turnovers led by Rylee Fike was all over the court on the defensive side of the ball. After the game Brenley Ward spoke on the win and the defensive pressure, "It felt great coming out here and get that win, we played as a team and thats exciting, the press worked really good for us tonight."
The Lady Dragons are back in action on Thursday as they host Prescott in a big conference showdown.
