Lady Dragons Fall Short of Comeback Win Against Taylor
Taylor- Genoa Central hit the road on Monday night for a non-conference matchup against the Lady Tigers of Taylor. Taylor began the game on fire, sporting a double-digit lead early in the second quarter. The Lady Dragons would not go down without a fight, as they got going late in the second quarter and cut the lead down to 7 points at the break. 

The third quarter was back and forth, as Genoa refused to fold, even when the Taylor lead got to 14 points, the Lady Dragons continued to fight back. Senior Kelsie Fowler erupted in the fourth quarter for 12 points in the final quarter, as the Dragons made a run and cut it down to six points, but the foul game happened and Taylor hit some late free throws to make the final score 57-47. "Proud of the way our girls fought the entire game, we still have some things to improve on but really proud of the attitude and fight we showed tonight," Coach Austin Kidd said after the game.  

Fowler led the way for the Lady Dragons with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 steals.Kelsie was really aggressive late in the game getting to the rim and drawing fouls, as she shot great from the foul line, sinking 11 free-throws. Ali Pierce played through some early foul trouble and finished the game with 12 points and 4 rebounds. Brenley Ward added 9 points and 7 rebounds, and 2 steals. Kenzie Owen, Rylee Fike, and Brooklyn Cox each scored 2 points. Jessyca Thompson led the team in assists with 4. 

You can find the Lady Dragons back in action on Tuesday as they host Arkansas High. 

In the 7th grade girls game, the Lady Dragons came out and dominated, winning their game 22-3. Tatum Fisk led the way with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Nine different Lady Dragons scored in the game. Great all-around team win.
