Ali Pierce was a nightmare for the Lady Hornets, as she went 5-5 including a double, and had 2 RBI, as she was perfect in the box on Monday night. Rylee Fike had a 3-hit game and scored all 3 times she reached base. Anna McCrary and Kenzie Owen each had 2 singles, with Owen driving in 3 runs and McCrary driving in two runs. Brenley Ward smacked a double, and Kelsie Fowler and Jessyca Thompson each had singles for Genoa.
In the pitchers circle, Emily McGuire went the distance, getting all 21 outs, including 6 punch-outs. Allowing just 3 ER's. The defense kicked it around a bit, but got enough outs to secure the win, as they have been playing really well lately.
In the JV game, Kinsley Hollensworth tossed all 3 innings, striking out 4 batters, and making a diving catch in foul territory.
The Lady Dragons are back in action on Wednesday as they head to Nashville.
