Rylee Fike tossed a gem in the pitchers' circle on Friday night, as she got a lot of soft contact, as well as showcasing some swing and miss stuff when needed. The defense was great behind her, as they made all the plays necessary. Fike would finish the game with a no-hitter, allowing only one walk , and striking out five Lady Bears, as the Lady Dragons beat Spring Hill 9-1.
Ali Pierce got ahold of a ball, as she put it into orbit for a no-doubt HR. Pierce would finish the game with a HR, a double, and a single, and drove in 4 runs. Brooklyn Cox had a multi-hit game with 2 singles. Brenley Ward smoked a triple and knocked in a run, while Emily McGuire, Rylee Fike, and Jessyca Thompson each had singles for Genoa Central.
Emma Rhodes scattered 9 hits and allowed 9 runs (5 ER), but did a great job limiting the free passes on Friday night. Zoey Varner would score the lone run for the Lady Bears and Carly Foster would work a walk.
Genoa Central is back in action on Monday in Bradley, while the Lady Bears play again on Tuesday as they host Kirby.
