Lady Hornets Compete in Ouachita this Weekend, Beat Woodlawn
Ouachita- The Lady Hornets (10-13, 3-3) headed to Ouachita High School this past week to compete in their Holiday Tournament. Blevins drew Mountain Pine in the first round, in a tough opening matchup, the Lady Hornets would fall short 72-43. 

Ta'Keyla Williamson torched the nets for 28 points and added 3 steals. Audrey Lovette would score 8 points for the Lady Hornets. 

On Friday, Blevins took the court against a very good Woodlawn team. Great defense by the Lady Hornets would be the difference in this game, as they forced double-digit turnovers, including 12 combined steals among Ta'Keyla Williamson, Audrey Lovette, and Marcasja Glenn. 

Blevins would win the game 63-58, as Ta'keyla Williamson would lead the charge for Blevins as she scored 22 points. Marcasja Glenn knocked down some big shots and finished the game with 17 points. Audrey Lovette added 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Amya Phillips brought down 12 big rebounds for the Lady Hornets. 

Saturday was a matchup between the Lady Hornets and Spring Hill. Blevins would drop a tough one, 59-52. Ta'Keyla Williamson scored 20 points, and added 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Marcasja Glenn and Alexa Hernandez each scored 11 points. Hernandez added 5 rebounds and Glenn added 3 assists and swiped 3 steals. Alaya Carrigan scored 7 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Lady Hornets. 

Blevins is back in action tonight as they travel to Mineral Springs for a big conference matchup.
