The Lady Hornets defense was outstanding in the opening quarter and it led to many fast break points. Ta'Keyla Williamson led the way for the Lady Hornets with 24 points. Williamson also caused a lot of havoc defensively as she forced numerous turnovers and had three steals.
Marcasja Glenn played a great game with 16 points and 3 steals and really kept the tempo of the game the way Coach Davis had planned out. Alexa Hernandez posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds as she dominated the game on the glass and shot the ball very well. Audrey Lovette had a great all-around game with 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.
With the victory, the Lady Hornets improve to 4-3 in conference play and are currently sitting in the 4-seed in the conference standings.
Blevins is back in action Thursday as they host Lafayette County in another conference matchup.
