Lady Jays Beat Bearden 63-49, Advance to Regionals
Nevada- The Lady Jays have consistently stepped up to the challenge these last few weeks and Tuesday night was no different.

"They're buying in to what we're really wanting to do here and their effort has been great," Coach Eddie Beck told me. Especially on the defensive end of the floor, the Lady Jays are playing extremely hard and it is very noticeable.

Nevada jumped out to a big lead early on as they would score 19 points in the opening quarter, including three 3-pointers from Karleigh Carlton. They would extend the lead to 39-19 at the half and would step up late defensively to keep Bearden from making a big run late in the game, as the Lady Jays would win the game 63-49 and clinch a spot in the semi-finals on Thursday, as well a spot next week in the regional tourney in Emerson.

Ke'Asia Pearson would lead the way with 19 points and play great throughout the game. Kadiya Curry would score all 16 of her points in the first half to help extend the lead before halftime. Jordin Haley would then score all of her 11 points in the second half to help lead Nevada to victory. Karleigh Carlton scored 9 points and Yasmin Harris would score 8 points in the second half. With the win the Lady Jays advance to play Emerson on Thursday night at 6:30 p.m.. Come out and support the Lady Jays!!!
