Lady Jays Claim Win in Conference Opener Against Mineral Springs
Mineral Springs- The Lady Jays (1-1) took care of business on Tuesday night as they hit the road to Mineral Springs for their conference opener against the Lady Hornets in 4 sets. Nevada did a great job in the opening set, as they won a close one 25-23. Mineral Springs would claim the 2nd set 25-20, but the Lady Jays would not be denied as they won the next two sets in dominant fashion 25-13 and 25-13 to begin conference play 1-0. CJ McCallie had a great game, as she served up 12 aces and had 5 kills. Jillian Pinner had 4 kills, 1 block, and had another great game serving as she racked up 7 aces. Zette Brown had 8 aces and 2 kills, while Alisha Gulley had 3 aces and Bella Petite had 1 ace. The Lady Jays are back in action on Thursday at Camden Harmony Grove.

The Jr. Girls played a tough game, but fell just short in two sets to the Jr. Lady Hornets. Gracie Hunt had 3 aces, while Jayde Murry and Gabby Evans each had 1 ace.
