Ouachita- The Lady Jays kicked off their season with a road matchup against the Lady Warriors from Ouachita. The first quarter was tough for Nevada as not a lot went their way, but the Lady Jays fought back in the 2nd quarter and outscored the Warriors. The second half got away from them a bit, but the Lady Jays fought hard and the effort was there as they dropped the game 66-39. Kadiya Curry led the Lady Jays offensively as she scorched the nets with 20 points, KeAsia Pearson poured in 13 points and had 2 blocks. Jordin Haley had a good all-around game as she added 5 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals, and Alisha Gulley added 2 points to round out the Lady Jays offense. Nevada is back in action next Tuesday in Blevins.Â
