Lady Jays Drop Tough One in Mt. Ida
Mt. Ida- The Lady Jays were coming off a big win last win in Umpire and they took that same effort out on the floor Monday night in Mt. Ida. The Lady Lions sit atop the conference standings, as they control their own destiny for the 1-seed. The Lady Jays played great defensively, not allowing much to the Mt. Ida offense, but Nevada had a tough time getting shots to fall as the Lady Lions took down the Lady Jays 45-25.

Karleigh Carlton and Jordin Haley each scored 8 points, while Yasmine Harris, Zette Brown, Zyirannah Vines, and Zyirhunn Vines all added 2 points each. "We played hard defensively, still need to improve on some rebounding but all in all a good night defensively, just had a hard time getting shots to fall, I really like our effort tonight though," Coach Eddie Beck said after the game.

The Lady Jays are back in action on Thursday as they host Kirby, as they are gearing up for a conference tourney here in a couple of weeks.
