Lady Jays Get 56-31 Win Over Umpire
Umpire- The Lady Jays were in search of their second conference win of the week Friday when they headed to Umpire and they left with it. The Lady Jays put together perhaps their best game of the year on Friday night, as they locked in defensively, and that turned into a lot of transition points for Nevada. "We got a lot of steals that turned into layups," Freshman Gabby Evans said after the game.

The first half was all Nevada and that led to a running clock for most of the second half, as three Lady Jays were in double-figures. Karleigh Carlton led the way with 16 points, as she drained four 3-pointers. Yasmine Harris scored 12 points and Jordin Haley poured in 10 points. Gabby Evans had 6 points and had 6 steals on defense. Zyirannah Vines had 5 points, Tottiana Young had 3 points, Zyirhun Vines and Zette Brown each had 2 points. Zette Brown spoke on the win after the game, "We executed more tonight, we had way more offensive rebounds, the press helped us out tonight."

Coach Eddie Beck spoke after the game as well on the Lady Jays big win, "We showed some flashes of our full potential for an entire game tonight, they've beaten us twice this year and for us to come to their place and get a 25-point win tonight was huge."

The Lady Jays are back in action on Monday as they head to Mt. Ida for another conference game, as they are on the last round of conference games.
