Lady Jays Improve to 5-1 with Big Conference Win Over Kirby
Nevada- The Lady Jays improved to 5-1 on the season Tuesday night, as they beat Kirby in a conference game 9-8 in comeback fashion, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead, as Trinity Kendall knocked in Jill Pinner and Reagan Gammage on a single. Pinner would toss 1-2-3 7th inning to secure the win.

Pinner finished the night with 10 strikeouts and allowed just 3 walks. After the game, Coach Beck spoke on the win, “We fought hard and didn’t quit and picked up another big win.”

At the plate, the Lady Jays did a great job fighting and getting the comeback win. Trinity Kendall had a big hit for Nevada, Jill Pinner had a pair of hits and scored twice. Gammage had two hits. Leymy Contreras and Alisha Gulley each had hits.

The Lady Jays are back in action on Thursday as they head to GMCS for a non-conference game.
