Lady Jays Start Season 2-0 with Win Over Emerson on Thursday
Emerson- The Lady Jays hit the road on Thursday and headed to Emerson and they came back with one more win that what they arrived with, after a 7th inning comeback win over the Lady Pirates. 

Trailing 13-11 heading into the final inning, the Lady Jays bats came alive and put up an 11-spot in the 7th to clinch the 22-17 win. Jill Pinner would go the distance in the pitchers circle, striking out 14 batters, while allowing some walks and 9 hits. Pinner got the job done win needed and is now sitting at 2-0 this year. 

The Lady Jays offense banged out 20 hits, drew 10 walks, and limited the swing and misses, only striking out 3 times as a team. Three Lady Jays had 4-hit nights, led by Trinity Kendall who had a triple, a double, 2 singles, and 4 RBI. Jocelyn Autry and Reagan Gammage each had a double and 3 singles, with 2 RBIs. Jill Pinner helped out her cause with a double and two singles, and drove in 1 run. Zykerria Parsha had a double and a single with an RBI, and Leymy Contreras, Sophie Hicks, and Paxtyn Tolar each had a hit for Nevada. 

The Lady Jays are back in action next Thursday as they host Mt. Ida in their conference opener.
