Lady Saints Beat Lady Jays on Thursday Night to Extend Winning Streak to 7 Games
Hope- In a battle between two teams that have been on a roll to begin the season, the Lady Jays were sitting at 5-1 and the Lady Saints were riding a 5-game win streak, clashed at GMCS on Thursday night. Side note on this game, older sister Jill Pinner would face off against younger sister Josie Pinner, as bragging rights were at stake. 

Nevada jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning. As Jocelyn Autry and Trinity Kendall each swiped a bag and scored that inning. 

After the 1st inning, it was all Lady Saints, as they would take the lead back in the 3rd inning and never look back, winning the game 12-2, with Josie Pinner knocking in the game-clinching runs. Silbi Jones was excellent in the circle, allowing just 1 hit and walking none, striking out 8 batters. 

Baylee Pogue and Josie Pinner each had 2 hits for GMCS. Pinner would finish with 3 RBI and Pogue with 1 RBI. Silbi Jones and Blayklee Glass each had hits for the Lady Saints. Rose Eskridge, Heaven Garcia, and Brailyn Almand each had an RBI. Gracie and Kylie Bullock each scored twice. 

For Nevada, Jocelyn Autry had a single and Trinity Kendall scored a run and stole 2 bases. 

In the Pinner v Pinner matchup, Jill would strike out Josie in the first AB, Josie would draw a bases loaded walk in the second AB. 

Nevada is back in action on Monday as they host Mineral Springs and GMCS is back on the diamond on Friday, as they look to take their win streak to 7 games against Victory.
