Mineral Springs- The GMCS bats went to work early and often on Monday, as they banged out 14 hits and drew multiple walks to plate 16 runs in their 16-8 victory over the Lady Hornets. Silbi Jones pitched out of the circle for the Lady Saints and struck out 12 batters as she worked well through some traffic on the base-paths. At the plate, Baylee Pogue had a 4-hit night at the plate, including 2 doubles and an RBI. Baylee also played great behind the plate as well, throwing out multiple runners. Mikayla Fields continues to hit the ball as she roped a triple, 2 singles, and drove in 3 runs. Charity Zumwalt had another multi-hit game for the Lady Saints as she hit 2 triples and had 2 RBI. Evan Chambless continues to reach base at a high clip, as she finished the night with a single, 2 walks, 2 RBI, and scored 3 runs. Kynlee Glass smashed a 2-run triple, Raylee Adkison smacked a single, drew a walk, and drove in 2 runs, and Brailyn Almand and Silbi Jones each had a hit and an RBI for the Lady Saints. Blayklee Glass drew a walk and scooted around the bases to score a run. Great offensive game for the Lady Saints as they look to carry this offensive production into Tuesday night as they host Emerson.
