Lady Saints Roll Past New Life 70-52
Hope- The first half wasn't the best showcase of basketball for GMCS on Tuesday night, but they came out of halftime on a mission and ran away with the game, winning 70-52.

The Lady Saints gave the Lady Warriors of New Life a dose of full-court pressure, and it led to many easy buckets for GMCS. Great defense led to around 15 or so second-half turnovers committed by New Life.

On the offensive side of the ball, three Lady Saints scored in double-figures. Mikayla Fields lit up the scoreboard with 31 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists. Laikyn Mitchell played another great game as she posted a double-double, scoring 24 points and grabbing a team-high 13 rebounds. Gracy Martin knocked down three 3-pointers and scored 11 points and 4 rebounds.

Baylee Pogue was tied for a team-high 6 assists and she also scored 2 points. Charity Zumwalt and Silbi Jones each had two points. Charity Zumwalt also had 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals for GMCS. Defensively, guard Evan Chambless applied a lot of pressure on the New Life ball-handlers and forced numerous turnovers.

The Lady Saints are back in action Friday night for their alumni game and are scheduled to travel to Cornerstone next Tuesday.
