Haskell- The Lady Wolves Softball team took care of business Monday in their Conference Tourney as they beat Bismarck 10-5 in comeback fashion to secure a spot in the Regional Tournament later this week in Genoa. Prescott dug themselves in a hole as they trailed 5-0 after the 2nd inning. The Lady Wolves showed a lot of fight as they managed to take the lead in the 6th inning. In the top of the 7th inning the Lady Wolves’ offense would put up 4 more runs to put the game out of reach. Coach Godwin was very pleased with the way the team fought back after being down 5-0 to win the game and earn a spot in the Regional Tourney. Lainey Robbins pitched an excellent game against Bismarck, racking up 7 strikeouts and limiting the Lady Lions to only 6 hits, while allowing just 1 ER. Robbins did a great job of mixing her pitches up and hitting her spots leading to a lot of soft contact. Harlee Faulkner led the way at the plate for the Lady Wolves driving in 4 runs on 3 hits. Kailee Reese had an RBI triple, and Lilly McKinnon smacked a big 2 run double. Kyla Joseph and Jodee McKinnon each had a single and an RBI. Tori Franklin and Lainey Robbins each recorded a hit for Lady Wolves. The Lady Wolves also flashed the leather with some great defensive plays from Kyla Joseph (3rd Base), Carlee Glass (2nd Base), and Kadence Formby (SS). The win earned the Lady Wolves a spot in the Conference Semis as they took on Genoa at 2PM that same afternoon.
