Lady Wolves Earn Big Conference Win Over Smackover Tuesday Night
Prescott- The Lady Wolves hit the floor running in their conference matchup against the Lady Bucks on Tuesday, as they grabbed an early lead and never looked back, cruising to a 59-28 win. Rylee Williams got off to a hot start in the opening quarter, splashing in three 3-pointers, and scoring 11 of her game-high 21 points in the first quarter. Emari Britton took over in the second quarter, scoring 11 points of her own in the 2nd quarter to help give Prescott a commanding lead at the break, and they followed the same recipe for success in the 2nd half. The defensive pressure was excellent all game, they turned a lot of forced turnovers into some easy buckets at the other end.

R'Moni Jamerson played great on both sides of the ball, scoring 8 points and grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists. Aurora Nieddu poured in 11 points, including three 3-pointers. Jessica Ortiz scored 4 points and Laila Smallwood scored 2. Smallwood was a defensive standout in the game on Tuesday night, as she tortured the Smackover offense all game. After the win, R'Moni Jamerson spoke on the win and Smallwood's defensive presence, "Basically, the key to everything was our defense, Laila Smallwood was rocking it, and we did a good job passing the ball and they were shooting it."

Prescott is now sitting at 2-1 in conference play and will be back in action next week.
