HOPE – The Hope High School Bobcat track team brought home one state championship and numerous placements in its showing at the State Indoor Track Meet in Fayetteville.

Ladycat Genesis Curtis is the new State Girls’ Division 4A Shot-Put Champion. Also, in the girls’ division, Briana Puente placed 11thin the 800-meter.

In the boys’ division, Lawrence Adetunji took fifth in the 60-meter dash and sixth in the 200-meter; Kearon Brown placed eighth in the 60-meter dash and fourth in 60-meter hurdles; Andre Dafney, 19th in the 200-meter; Erik Haynie, 13th in long jump; Au’vion Horton, sixth in triple jump and 10th in high jump; Donovan Manning, 28thin 800-meter run and 1600-meter run; Trey Rhodes, 25th in 400-meter dash; Dillion White, 13th in 1600-meter and 23rd in 800-meter; and Roosevelt Wyatt, 28th in 400-meter dash.
