Lafayette County School District will host a registration event for its free ABC preschool on March 30 during Parent Teacher Conferences.

The preschool is free to qualifying families through a partnership with Southwest Arkansas Education Cooperative. Meals and transportation are provided.

Families are encouraged to pick up an application in the Lafayette County Elementary office any time in March, complete it and return it along with a copy of supporting documents to the Parent Teacher Conference on March 30 from 2:30-6:30.

Each family will receive a free book and gift bag. Supporting documents that are needed include: 30 days proof of income, birth certificate, shot record, child physical exam, and social security card. The program says the income cutoff went up this year, so those who couldn't qualify in the past may qualify now.
