Lance & Associates Real Estate, The Christmas Coffee Tradition Continues
The little log cabin was filled with merriment and Christmas cheer this morning as Lance & Associates Real Estate hosted the Chamber of Commerce Community Coffee. Keeping with the tradition of holding the very last coffee of the year, the Lance & Associates team, as usual put its best on display for the community. Christmas themed décor filled the office and food was not in short supply.

The coffee was catered by Amigo Juan Mexican Restaurant with a decadent spread of hors -d’oeuvres; chips, queso, pork chipotle, bacon wrapped steak bites, mashed potatoes complete with cheese, chives, and sour cream while deserts consisted of pecan pie, vanilla pudding cups with red velvet crumbles, cheesecake squares and all the fruits

Lance & Associates began hosting this Christmas Community Coffee in 2006, and Owner/Principal Broker Steve Lance said the team was delighted to be continuing the tradition. "It's overwhelming and humbling to look around and see this office full of friends and people in the community," Lance said. "I think back to when we first moved here in the 80's when people like Novaline, Mr. and Mrs. Kidd, and Earl and June Downs accepted us right away without knowing anything about us. Everyone in the community has been very supportive, and that is the foundation on which we built our business. This is a people business."

People you know, people you trust isn’t just a tagline for them, it is a way of life. It’s just one of the special qualities that earned Lance & Associates Real Estate the title of 2023 Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Banquet this year. “It has been an honor, just truly amazing to represent the Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year. We look forward to what next year brings for us and the community we serve,” Lance said.

Lance said his agents (Lindsey Townsend and Trenace McGinnis-Stuart) are like family to him. "That's the way we operate," he said. "Hopefully, we treat folks that same way and they feel it in our everyday business, as well as here today."

Executive Broker Lindsey Townsend shared in the appreciation of community festivities. "Every year, we look forward to hosting this coffee and inviting the community in for a fun holiday event where we can just enjoy spending time together," Townsend said.

Executive Director of the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Christy Burns was in attendance and said, “Lance & Associates is a crucial part of our community here in Hope. They do so much to help out and always go above and beyond the call of duty.”

Local citizens roamed about as they talked about the upcoming Christmas holiday and plans for the new year while enjoying their hot cocoa and cider. By all accounts, it seems the community enjoys this annual event just as much as the Lance & Associates team does. As the Coffee wound down to a close and people cheerfully accepted their parting gifts of a Lance & Associates coffee mug and cozy gloves, many could be heard wishing Lance, Townsend, McGinnis-Stuart, and fellow guests a very merry Christmas. The joy of the holiday and the camaraderie of community were abundant this morning at the Lance & Associates Christmas Community Coffee.
