SEATTLE – Arkansas junior Lauren Gregory finished as the top collegian in the Husky Classic 3,000m with a career best time of 8:53.76, moving her to No. 2 on the Razorback all-time list behind the 8:52.57 school record.
Olympian Val Constien claimed the victory in 8:52.19 ahead of Gregory. The next finisher was Katie Camarena of Portland State in 8:57.08.
Gregory’s previous best at this distance was 8:55.97 from 2019, which ranked third on the Arkansas all-time list. Dominique Scott holds the Razorback school record of 8:52.57 from 2015.
Racing in another section of the 3,000m, Isabel Van Camp won in a time of 9:07.89 which marked her debut at this distance and moved her to No. 10 on the UA all-time list. Van Camp placed eighth overall.
Indoor debuts at 5,000m had Sydney Thorvaldson clocking 16:07.80 to finish fourth in her section and 16th overall while Julia Paternain posted a 16:21.50 for ninth in the section and 21st overall.
Competing in the mile on Saturday, Gregory placed fourth overall in a career best of 4:32.67, which ranks No. 4 on the Arkansas all-time list. Razorbacks in the race included Gear (4:37.11), Jolly (4:40.24) and Van Camp (4:40.41).
Quinn Owen produced a career best of 4:44.32 and was followed by Sydney Thorvaldson (4:46.95), Carmie Prinsloo (4:48.86 PR), and Kennedy Thomson (4:48.86).
