Lemonade & Blessings

This afternoon two eight year old little girls met at Hope in Action to hand over an envelope full of cash to Mrs. May Delaney, Director of Hope in Action. Emma Johnson and Salem Short set up an old timey lemonade stand at the Super Sidewalk Sale in downtown Hope this past Saturday and handed out tasty drinks to thirsty patrons as they shopped.

The girls raised $86.95 in donations and were really excited to hand that money over to help the less fortunate in the community. Initially, it was Emma's idea to set up the stand and donate the money but of course she asked her best friend Salem to come along.

"I just appreciate that so much, that means a lot to me that the children take such an interest in helping out. That is just great, " Delaney said with a big smile on her face.
