For big items, there has been a buildup as increasing bids were taken for them both Thursday and Friday nights with the final bidding opening up tonight. Among the items are a vintage guitar, a hand-made cedar chest, an armoire, a big grill from the metalworking program at UAHT, autographed footballs and basketballs courtesy of the Razorbacks, electric lawnmowers, Klipsch speakers, an outdoor pizza oven, metal sheeting from New Millenium and much more.
To keep the kids busy, there is a kids zone where they can construct ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree.
The bidding tonight will start at 6:00 p.m. probably go past 10:00 p.m. as the Lions will be hoping to make sure all the merchandise and gift certificates donated by area merchants and individuals will be gone. The proceeds from the auction will go to creating Christmas boxes of groceries to go out to families of low income and to support the Lions' other services.
