LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) announces the upcoming five-year anniversary celebration of the River Market Entertainment District. In partnership with the Downtown Little Rock Partnership and city officials, the LRCVB invites residents and visitors to join the district’s birthday bash Friday, Aug. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Since its 2019 launch, the River Market Entertainment District has become a hub for fun activity and downtown nightlife, creating a vibrant scene for locals and visitors to enjoy some of Little Rock’s best culinary, cultural and live-music offerings. The district allows those age 21 and older to carry alcoholic beverages in public spaces and many local businesses within the boundaries, if they have an official cup and wristband. Cups and wristbands are available for purchase at more than a dozen establishments within the district. Click here for boundary information.
"The River Market Entertainment District has become a key part of the Little Rock experience and has helped solidify our city as a must-visit regional destination," said Gina Gemberling, president and CEO of the LRCVB. "We’re excited to celebrate the district, which has brought so much energy, excitement and economic growth to downtown. The birthday bash is our way of thanking the community for their support while inviting everyone to participate in all the fun and freedom in this area."
The River Market Entertainment District Birthday Bash will feature a variety of live entertainment. Many establishments will be offering special discounts and promotions, and free parking will be available in the River Market parking garage located at 500 E. 2nd St.
"The River Market Entertainment District has been an exciting opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and experience Little Rock’s vibrant downtown scene," Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. said. “We've created a dynamic, inclusive space for everyone to enjoy."
"The River Market Entertainment District has been fantastic for our downtown as evidenced by its growth in the past five years," said Gabe Holmstrom, executive director of the Downtown Little Rock Partnership. “The designation has been great for businesses. I look forward to celebrating with the community while experiencing everything that makes the district special."
The LRCVB invites everyone to join the River Market Entertainment District Birthday Bash on Aug. 23 to help commemorate five years of success. Whether you’re a long-time fan or a first-time visitor, the celebration promises to be a memorable evening filled with great food, drinks and entertainment.
