Several organizations assisted the City of Hope during the City Wide Cleanup this past Saturday morning April 23.

Mayor Don Still was on hand to welcome the organizations. He also thanked City Director Mark Ross for bringing the groups together so early in the morning (7 a.m.).

Ross said he just cares about Hope and that our citizens should take pride in keeping Hope clean.

Ross provided city street maps to each organization showing the streets each was assigned to clean. Ross said he wished the organizations could do more streets, and they will at the next city wide cleanup.

The groups participating included the First Baptist Church youth group, Silent Voices Youth Group, Boy Scout Troop 5, the Hope High School Band, Klipsch Heritage Museum, Downtown Network, Hope Beautification Committee, Kiwanis Club. Also on hand were City Directors Still, Ross, Reginald Easter, Mark Ross, Steve Montgomery and City Manager Catherine Cook.
