O’Neill is a Little Rock native born in 1950. He is married to his wife, Jane, of 53 years and is the father of daughter Abby and son Thomas.
There was never a dull moment in O’Neill’s 55 years in broadcasting – 31 years in radio and 24 years in television. He danced on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, interviewed music icon Dolly Parton, led election coverage with his extensive knowledge of Arkansas politics and broadcasted encouragement from his kitchen table during the pandemic.
O’Neill has participated in more than 9,000 charity events and has helped raise over $40 million for Arkansas and its communities.
O’Neill’s contributions to our state are notable from his undying commitment to improving the lives of Arkansans to his irreverent sense of humor that has us all wanting more. Although O’Neill officially retired from broadcasting in December 2023, he continues to make an impact on Arkansans young and old.
Proceeds from this year’s Steak Soiree will be used to enhance services and the compassionate care we provide to patients at Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County.
Tickets for the Steak Soiree are $75 and are available at baptisthealthfoundation.org. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. For any questions, please call Baptist Health Foundation at (501) 202-1839.
