LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (date) - The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the Arkansas Municipal League’s (AML) 90th Annual Convention at the Statehouse Convention Center on June 12-14. The event marks the League’s second meeting in Little Rock of 2024, having met at the Statehouse Convention Center in January for its annual Winter Conference. The convention is expected to draw 1,200 attendees, with an estimated economic impact of over $476K to downtown Little Rock.
“The Arkansas Municipal League is an invaluable partner for us,” said Gina Gemberling, CEO of the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau. “It’s been wonderful to work with them so closely over the years and now to be a part of their 90th anniversary celebration makes it even more special.”
The AML was founded in 1934 and represents the cities and towns of Arkansas. The convention represents a time for city leaders from across the state to come together to engage on issues that affect Arkansas’ 500 cities and towns. The convention agenda includes numerous educational sessions as well as a keynote address from Matt Lehrman, one of the leading voices on civil discourse.
The AML Annual Convention is just one of the more than 400 conventions and business events the LRCVB hosts each year in Little Rock, bringing more than 500,000 visitors to the city annually.
