Hempstead County Reserve Lieutenant Neil Barwick retires after 30 years of service to Hope and Hempstead County.A retirement reception was held Friday for Lt. Neil Barwick in honor of his 30 years of faithful service to the Citizens of Hope and Hempstead County. County. Neil started as a reserve officer for Hope Police in 1994 and served the City of Hope for seventeen years. In 2011 Lt. Barwick was sworn in as a Reserve Deputy for the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office where he has served for the past 13 years.Sheriff James and Chief Deputy Mickey Atkinson presented Lt. Neil Barwick with a Certificate of Service, His Badge and his Duty weapon.  As Sheriff having worked with Neil at the Hope Police Department and The Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office. I want to congratulate Lt. Neil Barwick on his well-deserved retirement after an incredible 30 years of dedicated service. This milestone is a testament to your hard work, commitment, and unwavering dedication to your duties.Lt. Barwick’s leadership and professionalism have left an indelible mark on those who have had the privilege to work with him.
