MENA TEEN CHARGED IN THURSDAY SHOOTING
October 29, 2024MENA, Ark. — Arkansas State Police arrested a Mena teenager in connection with a shooting that occurred late last week. Anderson Ochsner, 19, was charged with First-Degree Battery, Aggravated Assault, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. On Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 6:55 a.m., the Mena Police Department (MPD) responded to a call reporting a shooting at the intersection of U.S. 71 and 2nd Street. When officers arrived, they found William Parsons, 28, suffering from two gunshot wounds. Parsons was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The MPD requested ASP’s Criminal Investigation Division to investigate the shooting. The investigation is ongoing. Ochsner was transported to the Polk County Detention Center, where he remains in custody.
