FAYETTEVILLE —  Michael Scherer, Arkansas’ quality control defensive coach in 2020 and a former Missouri 2015 junior and 2016 senior  linebacker during Arkansas defensive coordinator Barry Odom’s  Missouri tenure as  Mizzou’s 2015 defensive coordinator and 2016-2019 head coach, is being promoted to a full-time assistant as  linebackers coach, sources and several media outlets report.Scherer  served one Arkansas game as a full-time assistant with the secondary  against Florida when Pittman was quarantined at home because of contracting the coronavirus and  defensive coordinator/safeties coach Odom served as Arkansas’ acting head coach.
