Nevada County Fall Festival in Full Swing Despite Cloudy Weather

A spirited crowd braved the cloudy skies and damp ground to come out this morning for the Nevada County Fall Festival and Trade Days going on at the Nevada County Courthouse in Prescott.

Lively music filled the air around the courthouse grounds as vendors and patrons chatted and traded, with all manner of goods on display. Jams and produce, wooden toys, t-shirts, and hand-made crafts of all types from local individuals and organizations were laid out under awnings to keep the drizzle off.

Some of the younger crowd enjoyed playing basketball in the area set aside for the basketball shootout while others gathered at the bounce house and activity area. Food vendors were also in attendance, keeping the crowd fueled up for more fun this afternoon.

This morning hosted a 5K Run/Walk, the Basketball Shoot-Out, and the Lil’ Firecracker Freedom Kids Run. This afternoon will have the South Down Main Band playing at 1 p.m., the announcement of the Cutest Baby Contest at 4 p.m., and an announcement of raffle winners. Throughout the day, patrons can also get clues about the mysterious “Golden Pumpkin.”

Come join the fun this afternoon at the Nevada County Fall Festival and Trade Days!
