The full July 2022 Nevada County Quorum Court meeting can be watched above, but here are a few highlights.
With the judge and a few court members absent, JP Bob Cummings facilitated the meeting. No new items were on the agenda, but Cummings updated the Court about the Nubbin Hill Project by saying it was coming along well. Also, court members approved the motion to allow Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Ben Hale to move forward with drawing up the ordinance for the Falcon Cemetery Association.
During the approval of the financials, a small discussion about funds took place after concerns were brought up again by a few court members about the accounts and the decrease in the relief money. Some suggestions were made about departments cutting back where they could, but no action was taken.
During Jamie Hillery's Committee Report, she said the Sesquicentennial Celebration went well and they hope to have a permanent marker made soon to honor the 150 year anniversary of Nevada County.
