The Jays took a 21-10 lead after the opening quarter as Kavion Coleman and Brycten Harris combined for 15 points. Nevada would then score another 21 points in the second quarter to take a 42-22 lead at the half. Coleman had 16 points in the first half and Harris had 13 to put the Blue Jays in complete control of the game at the half. Great defense led to a lot of easy baskets as they limited Hermitage to open looks.
Nevada hit the floor running in the third quarter, as they would score 23. Hermitage would try to pick up the pace a bit, but the Jays would gladly welcome that challenge as they continued to extend their lead. Nevada led by 24 heading into the final quarter and cruised to a 83-62 win. Nevada had four players finish in double-figures as Brycten Harris would knock down four 3-pointers in the second half as his shooting continues to impress. Harris would finish with a team high 27.
Kavion Coleman would torch the nets for 22 points, Caleb Moss played a big game for the short-handed Jays and scored 13 points, and Keyonte Wingfield would finish with 11 points. Kobe Hughey would have 4 points and Nijhae Nolan would add 2 points. The Blue Jays will compete in the Camden Classic next week after Christmas.
