Nevada Standout Kavion Coleman Selected to AHSCA All-Star Team
Nevada- The last couple of basketball seasons at “The Nest”, when opposing players stepped on the floor, one of their assignments were knowing where 12 was at all times. Because if you didn’t know where he was on the court, Kavion Coleman would make them pay, as he could score points in bunches.

The Class of 2025 Nevada product was recently named to the West Boys Basketball All-Star Roster, where the top 30 players in the entire state of Arkansas were selected to the rosters. Kavion was just 1 of 4, 1A basketball players selected to these rosters, as they ranged from 1A-6A.

“Kav is an exceptional talent, he could really score the basketball, he is one of those kids that when he puts his mind and gives it 100% he can achieve anything,” Coach Mario Bell said as he talked on Coleman. The 2023-2024 1A Coach of the Year has coached Kavion for two seasons.

Coleman’s offensive numbers speak for themselves, as he averaged over 20 points a game, over 7 rebounds and over 4 assists per game. Kav scored 1,853 points in his career and basically reached those in two seasons. One of the more unique tools that Kavion displayed on a nightly basis was his ability to flush any missed shot, or turnover, and instantly go make up for it somehow the next defensive possession. As his defense really stepped up in his senior season, becoming a true two-way guard. Coleman is a player that plays the game at a high-level, but really has a great time and just enjoys playing the game.

Congratulations Kav on a great career and senior season.
