New Alert: Flash Flood Watch Until 1PM CDT
The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a
  • Flood Watch for portions of southwest Arkansas…southeast
    Oklahoma and northeast Texas, including the following areas, in
    southwest Arkansas, Columbia, Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little
    River, Miller, Nevada and Sevier. In southeast Oklahoma,
    McCurtain. In northeast Texas, Bowie and Cass.

  • Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon

  • Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches, with isolated higher amounts of
    5 to in excess of 8 inches will be possible.

  • Flooding may occur in urban and poor drainage areas. Heavy
    rainfall may also cause flooding of creeks, streams, and rivers.

Instructions: A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
