FAYETTEVILLE - University of Tulsa's defensive line coach Jermial Ashley is about to become the Arkansas Razorbacks defensive line coach according to a Monday report by Footballscoop.com.
On Coach Sam Pittman’s Arkansas staff Ashley would replace defensive line coach Derrick Leblanc believed to be eyeing opportunities coaching in the NFL.
Ashley has coached Tulsa’s defensive line the last six seasons after coaching then defensive line for two years at Trinity Valley Community College.
Ashley previously assisted coaching defensive lines at Oklahoma State.
A former NJCAA All-American defensive end at Tyler Junior College, lettered two years at the University of Kansas and was All-Big 12 as a senior in 2005.
Since the 2020 season’s close, Pittman has made staff changes at receivers coach, tight ends coach and now apparently defensive line.
