RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico – No. 2 Arkansas women’s golf extended its win streak to four tournaments after a 15-under par third round at the Puerto Rico Classic. Sophomore Maria José Marin shot 9-under to claim the individual title, her second of the season.

The Hogs finished the first day in eighth place with only José Marin under par. Through the first six holes of round two, the Razorbacks collected 10 birdies to 2 bogeys and rose as high as tied for second. By day’s end, Arkansas was seven shots behind the leader No. 15 Vanderbilt and four Hogs were in the top 25: José Marin (T2, -3), Kendall Todd (T15, +2), Clarisa Temelo (T15, +2) and Reagan Zibilski (T24, +3). José Marin had the field’s best round of the day with a 4-under 68. She tallied four birdies and made par on the other 14 holes. All six of Arkansas’ golfers moved up on the individual leaderboard, with senior Kendall Todd making a 20-spot jump up to T15th after a 2-under par day.

The third round teed off at 5:30 a.m. CT and four Hogs birdied the par-5 second hole to get on pace for the 273, 15-under par finish, the Razorbacks’ lowest 18-hole score since 2018. Of the four counted scores Arkansas totaled 23 birdies, six bogeys and one double bogey. Freshman Clarisa Temelo shined with her first collegiate round in the 60s, a 6-under 66 and tied Furman’s Audrey Ryu for the tournament’s lowest score. The Querétaro, Mexico native finished third, the highest finish of her young collegiate career.

Zibilski and Todd surged up the leaderboard throughout round three and both finished tied for seventh at 2-under par. Zibilski capped off her weekend with a 69, her second round in the 60s this season and led the field in scoring on par 3s, averaging 2.58 shots.

Arkansas’ tournament win stream started in early October of 2024 after a 31-stroke victory at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. The Hogs’ lone appearance below the top of the leaderboard occurred at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach where they finished runner-up. The Razorbacks’ record against teams is currently 52-1.
