According to early information a Toyota 2005 Tocoma pickup was traveling North on Melrose Lane.  It was struck from behind by a 2005 Cheverlot pickup. The driver of the Toyota pickup stated she had slowed down because a dog was crossing the road. The Cheverlot was unable to see the dog or any tail lights from the Toyota

No injuries. Hempstead County Deputies responded to the accident as well as Pafford EMS.
