Noah's Ark, Build a Bear at Nevada County Library

This morning kiddos of all ages gathered at the Nevada County Library to ‘Build a Bear’ at the library's two day Noah Ark's Workshop. They sat quietly listening to "A Visitor From A Bear" being read aloud, then answered questions about the story, with prizes being given to each child with a correct answer.

The children were each given their own bear along with stuffing as they worked happily on tables throughout the room piling stuffing in until each bear was full. Each stuffed bear even got a personalized birth certificate that the boys and girls filled out.

Smiles were in abundance as the happy youngsters took a moment to pose for a picture as cheerful parents and grandparents stood alongside grinning just as big as their kids. Each child was given a small bucket with sugary snacks at the end of the event.

"We are just so happy to be back, able to have the kids in the library and hold these types of events for the kids, after Covid-19 shut down our plans for the children last year. The kids need this interaction and we are so happy we can provide it for them" Librarian Theresa Tyree said. Free lunches are also provided between 12-2 pm daily

Be sure to join in the fun at the Nevada County Library tomorrow for the second part of their Noah's Ark Workshop at 3 pm as the kiddos build a puppy!
