FAYETTEVILLE - Already named a third-team basketball All-American by Sporting News and unanimous first-team All-SEC, Arkansas senior guard JD Notae was Tuesday named third-team All-American by the Associated Press.
Notae becomes the Razorbacks’ first full-fledged All-American since Bobby Portis of the reigning NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks was voted second-team All-America in 2015.
Former Razorbacks Daniel Gafford (2019), Mason Jones (2020) and Moses Moody (2021) all were honorable mention All-Americans and all playing in the NBA.
As Coach Eric Musselman’s 25-8 17th-AP ranked Razorbacks prepare to play America East champion Vermont in Thursday night’s 8:20 TNT televised West Regional NCAA Tournament game in Buffalo, N.Y., Notae leads the Razorbacks in scoring averaging 18.4 points per game and also leads in assists, 117, steals, 69, and though only 6-2, third on the team in blocked shots, 21.
