Each year, the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana honors an outstanding staff member. UAHT is proud to announce that this year’s winner is Jolane Cook. Cook began her career at the college in 1999, serving as the Coordinator for Continuing Education and Industry Relations until 2012, when she became the Executive Director of the Texarkana campus.
According to her nomination letters, “Jolane is a problem solver and a person you can always depend on. She pays attention to detail and always keeps the Texarkana campus running smoothly. She cares about her fellow employees and always makes sure their needs are met. Most importantly, Jolane is always there for our students. She will find a way to help if a student is in need.”

Vanhook Named Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year at UA Hope-TexarkanaHOPE/TEXARKANA, AR – May 14, 2024
Each year, the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana honors an outstanding faculty member. UAHT is proud to announce that this year's winner is Pamela Vanhook. Vanhook has served as a member of the health professions faculty at the college since 2021.

She approaches her work with diligence and compassion and is never one to complain. Her positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond is worthy of emulation. She truly has a servant’s heart. Even when faced with odd and unusual work schedules, she supports others, always smiling brightly. Her love for her job and students shines through in every endeavor, from active participation in campus activities, committees, and clubs to promoting our college within the community. Pamela’s positive attitude, compassionate heart, exceptional work ethic, and unwavering support for others make her deserving of this award.”
