This acquisition includes the full Crittenden EMS company and workforce, extending operations across Crittenden, Cross, and Poinsett counties. Day-to-day EMS coverage now includes sixunits in Crittenden County, three in Cross County, and one in Lepanto—staffed by a team of approximately 40 EMS professionals. As part of the transition, the ambulance currently stationed in Marked Tree will be phased out of service, and Riverside Ambulance will resume EMS coverage for the community.
Pafford has also recently been awarded the contract to serve as the exclusive 911 ambulance
provider for Crittenden County. As operations begin under this new agreement, the focus
remains on continuity of care, personnel support, and system improvement. All Crittenden EMS team members will have the opportunity to remain in their current service areas following a structured onboarding process that aligns with Pafford’s protocols, equipment standards, and company culture.
“We understand the vital role EMS plays in these communities, and we are committed to
strengthening services while honoring the dedication of the medics already in place,” said Jamie Pafford-Gresham, CEO of Pafford Medical Services. “We appreciate the opportunity to move forward in a way that places the needs of the community and the care of patients first.”
As part of the transition, former Crittenden EMS CEO Hudson Hallum will join Pafford’s
leadership team. He will assist in guiding local operations and supporting staff during the
onboarding process.
While operations in Crittenden County will now be managed by Pafford Medical Services, the
service will continue under the name Crittenden County EMS. As of today, August 5, 2025, new ambulances, advanced equipment, strengthened leadership support, and clinical enhancements have been delivered and are going into service as part of the contract awarded by the county.
