What began with lights and sirens from SUVs representing the Hope Police Department, driven by Chief Kim Tomlin and the Hempstead County Sheriff's Office, driven by Deputy Justin Crane, riding side-by-side continued with ambulances, fire trucks, beauty contestants and queens and candidates for office.
