Parade ushers in Southwest Arkansas District Fair and Livestock Show in a big way

The UAHT Trio Student Support Services float was among the highlights of the Southwest Arkansas District Fair and Livestock Show parade Tuesday afternoon.

This year's Southwest Arkansas District Fair and Livestock Show parade embarked from Sixth Street and South Elm and came north into the city proper in a din of emergency sirens and an ensuing caravan of floats and marching bands.

Pageant contestants, campaigns for county sheriff, county clerk and governor, teams of cheerleaders and youth football players, varsity football seniors, homecoming maids, pageant winners and contestants, local businesses, the Hope High band and horse riders were all well-represented through Hope's downtown streets after the 6:00 p.m. startup.

Our pictorial and our streaming recording convey some of the excitement should you have missed Tuesday's procession.
