Parole Search in Hope Leads to Arrest, Meth Seizure
On the 22nd of October, 2025, at 8:50 a.m. Hempstead County Deputies Reed and Pennington, assigned to the Eighth North Drug Task Force traveled to 1305 South Main Street in Hope in reference to a parole search.

Upon arrival, Deputy Reed spoke with Michael Adams. Deputy Reed advised the parolee that they were there to perform a parole search.

During the search the deputies seized approximately 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a set of digital scales. Deputies placed Adams into custody and transported him to the Hempstead County Detention Center where he is awaiting a first court appearance. 

Under Arkansas regulations, individuals on parole/conditional release must agree (as a condition of release) to submit their person, residence, place of employment (or property/motor vehicle) to search and seizure at any time, day or night, with or without a search warrant, when requested by:

·         A certified officer of the DCC (or supervising agency).

·         Any other law-enforcement officer.
