Pat Green to headline first concert at Hempstead Hall in over a year
Hope, Ark. – Southwest Arkansas Arts Council and Hempstead Hall have partnered to bring Pat Green to Hempstead  Hall’s Amphitheatre in the first large concert post-COVID in the area. The concert will be 8:00 pm June 25, 2021 on the  University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana's Hope campus. Gates will open at 6:00 pm, local band “South Down Main” will  perform at 7:00 pm, and Pat Green will take the stage at 8:00 pm.

“Thrilled. We are simply thrilled to be able to host concerts again,” said Amanda Lance, director of Hempstead Hall and  Workforce Development for UAHT. “It's exciting to have Pat Green help welcome the community back to The Hall.”

The event will be held outdoors at the building’s amphitheater. In the event of inclement weather, the concert can be  moved inside the theater.

“People are ready to return to a sense of normalcy,” said Lindsey Honea, SWAAC President. “And nothing is more  normal than concerts at Hempstead Hall.” Honea commented about listening to Pat Green when she was in college and  added that there will be a strong nostalgic pull for lots of people in the region looking to relive those college days.

To help curtail ticket prices, SWAAC and Hempstead Hall will have sponsorship opportunities available. “It was extremely  important, especially for our first show back, to keep tickets as economical as possible,” said Lance. “We are blessed  with generous businesses and individuals who make something like this happen affordably.”

A three-time Grammy nominee, Pat Green has become a cultural force across the country that has sold out venues from  Nokia Theater in Time Square and House of Blues Los Angeles to the Houston Astrodome in Texas. Respected by his  peers, he has co-written with artists ranging from Willie Nelson and Chris Stapleton to Jewel and Rob Thomas. Green’s  explosive live shows have made him a fan favorite and a hot ticket landing tours with Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney,  Keith Urban and Dave Matthews Band. Named “the Springsteen of the South West” by People, Green has sold over 2  million records and has released 10 studio albums. He has a string of 15 hits on the Billboard Country Radio Chart and  twelve #1 hits on the Texas Radio Chart including his latest single “Drinkin' Days,” which spent an impressive seven  weeks at #1. He has been praised by Esquire, NPR, Rolling Stone, People, Billboard, USA Today, American Songwriter,  Paste, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Austin City Limits and Late  Show With David Letterman. His album “What I’m For” made its debut at #2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart,  which was followed by his critically acclaimed love letter to his fans “Home.”

Tickets for the show are $20-$25 and can be purchased in advance at the Hempstead Hall front desk,  hempsteadhall.com or by calling 870.722.8565 during regular business hours. Tickets may also be purchased the day of  the show beginning at 6:00 pm when the gates open.
