On a beautiful spring day, Tuesday, May 11, 1976 in Wadley Hospital Texarkana, TX, Donald and Rebecca Nixon welcomed the birth of their first child, Phillip Jerome Nixon, the name given to him by his late Aunt Hattie Mae Butler Ford. Before the family moved to the city of Prescott, Phillip lived on the Butler farm in the Sweet Home community in rural Nevada County, AR. Then off to grandma Dail's house they would go to ask her to make some delicious cobblers and fried fish for supper. Phillip was very shy and always soft spoken and respectful, but he had a good sense of humor and quiet laughter.
