On Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at 9:25pm, Hope Police officers were called to the 400 block of  South Elm in reference to a male subject suffering a gunshot wound. Upon arriving, officers  discovered the subject suffering from a gunshot to the leg. The victim was taken to an area  hospital for medical assistance and has since been listed as in stable condition. 

The investigation has led to a warrant being issued for Marcus Floyd Jr, 19 of Texarkana, AR for  the offenses of Battery 1st Degree, Terroristic Act, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm from a  Vehicle and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons.  

If you have knowledge of the whereabouts of Mr. Floyd, please call 911. He is considered armed  and dangerous.
